Just wanted to let you know about Remarkable, a fast, extensible markdown parser with CommonMark support.
Remarkable is used by assemble, Bootstrap, nodebb and many other node.js projects. and if you need more features than what Remarkable offers by default, there are already a number of plugins and related libs on npm.
