Please let me know how to insert footnotes in CommonMark

First post and I have already looked for something similar here… I know this has been discussed and it has not been implemented so… How do I weasel footnotes in Common Mark? I don´t care if I have to weasel some html in the document but I really, really need footnotes in my documents…

If you’re using markdown-it (a CommonMark compliant JavaScript based parser), you can use the footnote plugin:
