I wouldn’t expect specific syntax to be added for describing colour, given that colour is a presentational feature while Markdown/HTML is designed to describe the structure of the content independent of how it is presented. However, it may be possible to add colour to particular sections of the document if the consistent attribute syntax becomes an extension.
