Since markdown without extensions does not support tables nor definition lists, how do you format small(!) faqs (oneliner question, oneliner answer). Using headers seems overkill and typing html tags does not look nice (=not easily scannable and requires typing) either.

Some time ago, I was facing the same issue. Eventually, I just ended to use a normal paragraphs with some emphasis and “Q:” or “A:” prefix for the question and answer respectively. Imho, the result is quite acceptable.
