I love Markdown and I just wanted to find a way to contribute to CM. I looked at the commonmark-web repo because I had an idea for the essentials tutorial that I wanted to publish in the form of an issue, and I actually discoverred that my idea was actually already implemented, I just didn’t remember it. So, I looked on the repo for other ways to do contrib and I found there were a couple of issues from 2016-2017 that still haven’t been closed related to translating the tutorial, which I feel would be a good idea since this tutorial is instrumental for getting new people to learn MD, and since MD is used in other languages as well, it’s a good idea. However, the issue seems to have stalemated circa 2021 for no stated reason, despite an entire fork made by a contributor to support translation. I also saw and commented on language ID’s in the tutorial.
However, there is a commit that was done in the repo 3 weeks ago, so why has nobody taken care of these other sensible ideas for literal years? To be fair, I don’t code in JS or HTML and maintaining a project is hard, so I’m just complaining without really doing anything except commenting (although I try to make making PR’s as simple as possible by people who CAN contribute).
Am I missing something?
