Tables in pure Markdown

Right now, tables are implemented as raw HTML.

However, there is a rising trend to use the following format (see for instance GitLab Flavoured Markdown, MarkdownExtra or GitHub Flavoured Markdown):

| Header  | Another header |
|---------|----------------|
| field 1 | something      |
| field 2 | something else |

That format is more legible and commonplace in email.
