- [Pandoc](http://johnmacfarlane.net/pandoc/README.html#definition-lists) (interestingly there is a compact\_definition\_lists parser option)

- [Kramdown](http://kramdown.gettalong.org/quickref.html#definition-lists)
- [Discount](http://www.pell.portland.or.us/~orc/Code/discount/#dl) (uses `=` for main syntax though)
